Job Description
Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution is searching for a Second Mate Unlimited (coverage window noted as November 8 to December 20, 2026). Reporting to the Master, the Second Mate is a Deck Department watch officer and the ship's navigation officer: maintains navigation equipment, publications and charts; stands the 12–4 bridge watch; posts lookouts; maneuvers the ship under the Master's general supervision for scientific operations; and keeps charts/publications corrected. Comprehensive benefits are available.
